How to Create Your Pass

Creating a beautiful and effective wallet pass is easy with Passport.

Step 1: Create a New Pass

Click “Create Your First Pass Template” or "Create a New Pass" to get started.

Step 2: Enter your Pass Name

Enter a Pass Name. This will be displayed on the back of the pass)

Step 3: Customize the Front of Pass

Logo: Displayed at the top left of the pass. Use a square or rectangular format to best fit your branding.

  • Square format: 150x150 pixels.

  • Rectangular format: 480x150 pixels.

  • Supported formats: PNG, JPG.

Cover Image: Shown across the front of the pass. Make sure it complements the text overlay.

  • Size: 960x369 pixels.

  • Supported formats: PNG, JPG.

  • Use this image as a subtle background for primary field values.

Background Color: Fills the entire pass behind your content.

  • Use a Hex code that aligns with your brand

Text Color (iOS Only): Used for all text on the front of the pass on iOS. Pick a color that contrasts the background color.

  • Use a Hex code that aligns with your brand

  • For Google Wallet, the Text Color will automatically be black or white depending on the background color selected.

QR Code (optional): Placed on the front of the pass, this can be scanned by users to visit a URL.

  • Display Text - Aim for 15 characters or less

  • URL - Must be a valid URL

Toggle between Apple and Google pass views to see how your changes are reflected.

Step 4: Customize the Push Notification

Icon: Displayed when a user receives a push notification


  • Recommended 150x150 px

  • PNG, SVG, JPG

Notification Title: Shown as the push header when users receive a push notification.

Use your brand name or pass name to keep the branding consistent.

Note: Notification Title is also displayed above the Pass Name on the pass list in Google Wallet.

Step 5: Customize the Back of Pass

  • Featured: Highlight links for time-sensitive offers, new products, or sales

    • Max 3 links

  • Connect: Add links to your website, online store, and social media

    • Max 3 links

  • Deals from Our Partners: Showcase exclusive partner offers to add extra value to your pass holders

    • Max 2 links

Step 6: Save and Publish

Hit Save to keep your pass as a draft then click Publish to create your pass.

You are now ready to distribute your pass! Grab your pass distribution link by clicking on the Share Pass button!
